Are you an experienced Project Manager with a background in bespoke manufacturing, production, and assembly environments? Our client who are located near Pickering is looking for a skilled Project Manager to ensure the safe, timely, and efficient delivery of projects, meeting the highest standards of client and company satisfaction. This hands-on role involves managing tenders, working closely with the Commercial Team, and upholding high standards in quality, health, safety, and environment (QHSE) practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Take full ownership of projects, overseeing timelines, budgets, and safety requirements to meet client and company standards.
  • Contractual Compliance: Ensure that all contract obligations are fully understood and implemented by the project team.
  • Liaison Management: Coordinate all third-party liaisons, both internal and external, to facilitate seamless project execution.
  • QHSE Compliance: Deliver projects in line with company QHSE objectives, managing planning and reporting systems as required.
  • Financial Oversight: Establish and maintain detailed financial reports, monitor project costs, and provide monthly updates to management.
  • Team Collaboration: Ensure all project team members are clear on project objectives, technical specifications, schedules, and cost limits; set clear departmental objectives and deadlines.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track project milestones and tasks, implementing corrective actions as needed to maintain project objectives.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients to maximize repeat business opportunities.
  • Personnel Development: Provide leadership and support to project personnel, fostering growth in project management skills.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • A degree in a technical or business management field (relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
  • Project management qualifications such as MSc, Prince 2, or equivalent certification.
  • Strong problem-solving and risk management abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management controls and tools, with strong IT skills, particularly in MS Project.
  • 3-5 years of experience in project management within a bespoke manufacturing, assembly, or production environment at a senior level.
  • Experience in multi-disciplinary manufacturing; experience with offshore operations is advantageous.
