Successful Architectural consultancy is seeking an experienced Architectural/ Layout/ Urban Designer to join their expanding Bristol office. You must have a determination to provide a first-class service, which has generated client relationships across the Residential sector. This particular role will see the successful Designer liaising with various housing builders and developers. Layout Designers and Junior, Intermediate to Senior level Designers (Part I/II/III) are encouraged to apply, and the successful candidate would benefit from the opportunity to develop their experience and role within the growing team. Candidates with extensive residential experience, particularly with housing developers are encouraged to apply.

This exciting opportunity is a key appointment and a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Layout designer with a client that is caring about employees and clients, maintaining long lasting relationships in both areas. They are an award-winning team applying commercial realism to effectively resolve complex issues and produce well-designed, innovative, and deliverable buildings.

You will need a residential design background with an architectural degree or similar experience as well as working knowledge of current UK planning policy and the RIBA Work Stages. You will also need to be able to work collaboratively on a range of projects and have the ability to understand, communicate and present contextual issues from surrounding large areas, attend pre application discussions, planning meetings and consultations and have involvement in all planning stages from initial site appraisals through to outline and full planning approvals. 

You will have a keen interest in residential-led projects, and well as outstanding graphic skills including hand drawings and diagrams, plans and images using AutoCAD, Photoshop / Illustrator and Sketchup.
