This will be an interesting and varied role where you can take the lead on all aspects of Environmental, Health & Safety Advisor and promote a health and safety culture.

Ideally you will have experience of working in a manufacturing, engineering or production type environment although people with skills in other high compliance industries could also be a great fit.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Lead by example and champion EHS on a day-to-day basis, promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Serve as the point of contact for all EHS matters, advising those with delegated EHS responsibilities.
  • Prepare, review, and update internal and external EHS policies and documentation.
  • Oversee vehicle and driver fleet management, ensuring full compliance.
  • Administer existing safety accreditation and progress to ISO 14001 & 45001.
  • Manage internal and external training, liaise with Line Managers, and lead monthly Training Meetings.
  • Ensure the company meets its statutory requirements regarding environment, health, safety, and welfare.
  • Lead periodic EHS Committee Meetings and keep up to date with industry and legislative changes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate essential; NEBOSH National Diploma preferred (or equivalents).
  • Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or warehousing environment preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task, anticipate, and respond effectively to changing priorities.
  • Flexible, conscientious attitude to work.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfortable working autonomously.
