Site Manager – Planned Works (Hemel Hempstead)

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join our team in Hemel Hempstead, focusing on Planned Works. This pivotal role involves overseeing a variety of projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery that meets our clients' expectations.

About the Role

As a Site Manager, you will:

  • Lead the delivery of projects across multiple contracts, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards, on time, and within budget.
  • Act as the key liaison between our company, clients, and residents, providing clear and effective communication throughout each project.
  • Foster strong, transparent relationships with clients, representing our company professionally at all times.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise on-site projects, maintaining health and safety compliance at all stages.
  • Collaborate with contractors and suppliers, ensuring works are delivered to agreed timelines and budgets.
  • Oversee Retrofit Works, adhering to Building Control regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Interpret and work from technical drawings and specifications.
  • Attend internal and client meetings, presenting updates and progress reports.
  • Generate, review, and meet programme performance targets.
  • Ensure compliance with PAS2030/MCS standards.
  • Build positive relationships with residents, ensuring clear updates and addressing concerns promptly.
  • Support resident engagement activities, fostering trust and cooperation.
  • Manage project risks, costs, and resources while adhering to governance policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with company procedures for auditing purposes.
Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a site management role.
  • In-depth knowledge of the social housing sector, including planned works and maintenance projects.
  • Strong background in construction and refurbishment projects.
  • Familiarity with Section 20 leaseholder consultation and housing legislation.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients, residents, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Demonstrated success in resolving complaints and delivering positive outcomes.
