Location: Pinner, London
Type: Permanent
Salary: £48,000-£52,000 per annum
About the Role: Tezlom is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated clinical lead to join our team at an elderly nursing home located in Pinner, London The ideal candidate will provide clinical leadership, ensuring high-quality care, implementing best practices, and supporting staff in delivering effective and person-cantered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring High-Quality Care:
- Overseeing the delivery of care to residents, ensuring it aligns with best practices and standards.
- Monitoring and evaluating the quality of care provided, identifying areas for improvement.
- Implementing and maintaining infection prevention and control procedures.
- Ensuring residents' needs are met and care plans are individualized.
- Clinical Leadership and Support:
- Providing clinical guidance and support to nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.
- Mentoring and supporting staff development, including training and competency assessments.
- Acting as a point of contact for clinical queries and concerns.
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
- Medication Management:
- Providing support in relation to medicines management and assessing staff competency to manage medication.
- Coordination and Communication:
- Coordinating with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and therapists, to ensure a holistic approach to care.
- Maintaining effective communication with residents, families, and other stakeholders.
- Compliance and Governance:
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines, such as those set by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Participating in audits and inspections.
- Implementing and maintaining rigorous safeguarding policies.
- Other Responsibilities:
- Managing a team of staff.
- Ensuring the safe and effective use of equipment and facilities.
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures.
- Acting as a role model for best practice.
Requirements:
- Valid NMC registration
- Proven experience as a clinical lead or similar role
- NVQ Level 5 in leadership and management is ideal to have but not a requirement
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Compassionate and caring attitude towards elderly residents
- Proficient in computer skills and electronic medical records
