THE ROLE

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on students' lives? We're seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teacher to join our dynamic team, focusing on providing exceptional support for students with learning difficulties. There are a variety of students who require additional support, some conditions include but are not limited to:

-          Non-Verbal / Speech Delay

-          Visual Impairment

-          Profound Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD)

-          Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

The role includes but is not limited to:

  • Advocating Inclusion: Cultivate a sense of belonging by actively promoting the inclusion of students within the broader classroom community. Encourage social interactions and empower them to excel in group activities.
  • Executing Plans: Take the lead in implementing individualized education and behaviour plans, contributing significantly to the success and progress of our students.
  • Collaborative Team Member: Emphasize the importance of communication; collaborate seamlessly with teachers, parents, and fellow professionals to establish a comprehensive support system for each student.
  • Establishing Bonds: Serve as a mentor and friend, building positive and trusting relationships with students. Create a safe and nurturing space where they can thrive.
  • Behavioural Expertise: Demonstrate proficiency in behavioural intervention, transforming challenges into opportunities for growth through effective strategies and positive reinforcement.
  • Individualised Support: Drive individualized assistance, adapting your approach to meet the unique needs of students facing behavioural challenges.
