Job Purpose: To oversee and direct all warehouse and site operations, ensuring compliance, cost efficiency, and operational excellence. The role involves implementing strategic growth plans and fostering a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute strategies for warehouse operations.
  • Implement best practices to uphold high standards across the department.
  • Monitor and enforce health and safety standards and operational procedures.
  • Manage the storage, loading, and dispatch processes in adherence to company policies.
  • Set and track KPIs to ensure the team meets its objectives.
  • Oversee budgets and negotiate contracts to maintain cost-effectiveness.
  • Coordinate training programmes to develop staff capabilities.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy and dispatch operations to minimise errors.
  • Manage warehouse resources, staff attendance, and workload distribution.
  • Conduct weekly meetings to review performance and compliance.
  • Evaluate and recommend equipment or layout changes for improved efficiency.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • Proven experience in warehouse operations and team management.
  • Strong computer skills, including familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and equipment maintenance.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to motivate and guide a team.
