Role: Accounts Senior

Location: PlymouthSalary: £28-32k

Overview:

My client is a highly successful, large regional firm of accountants based in the Plymouth area who are seeking an ambitious and driven Accounts Senior to come and join their friendly team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of clients (corporates, sole traders, partnerships)
  • Review and preparation of tax returns and VAT returns during busy periods
  • Provide accurate and timely advice to clients on financial matters as and when needed
  • Preparation of management accounts and budgeting
  • Liaising with HMRC and handling compliance matters
  • Contributing to client meetings and offering strategic advice

Skills and Experience:

  • AAT/ACA/ACCA part or fully qualified (or equivalent) with a minimum of 2/3 years of experience in practice
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, VAT, and tax compliance
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
