We're looking for an ACCA, ACA, or AAT newly qualified or part qualified accountant with a proven track record of working with various clients within practice. You'll be technically minded, commercially aware, and have a keen eye for detail. Passionate about working closely with clients, you'll be adept at building and nurturing enhanced relationships as their go-to contact for queries.

Able to inspire those round you, you'll mentor junior staff by reviewing work with constructive feedback, knowledge sharing, and identifying training opportunities. You'll also be enthusiastic about your own professional development, undertaking training and learning from the experienced team.

A confident approach to networking is also desirable, with the ability to support senior management with the firm's business growth strategy.

Job Purpose

  • Supporting a varied client portfolio of Sole Traders, Partnerships, Limited companies, and Groups.
  • Work closely with senior management to ensure expectations, deadlines, and budgets are being met.
  • Plan non-complex assignments, as well as identifying and mitigating tax risks.
  • Build trusted client relationships, being the go-to for support.
  • Attending final audit meetings, providing valued input alongside Directors.
  • Deliver a strong commercial awareness, reviewing opportunities for fee development.
  • Confidently present work to managers, completing files to a high standard.
  • Underpin audit and accounts matters with current legislation and compliance.
  • Delegate work to, and mentor new trainees, supporting with their learning and development.

The Successful Applicant

  • ACA, ACCA, or AAT newly ?qualified or part qualified.
  • Two to three years' practice experience.
  • Audit experience is desirable but not essential as training can be provided.
  • Experience working closely with a varied client portfolio.
  • Excellent work ethic
  • Self-motivated and reliable who is eager to progress
  • Strong communication skills are essential, both verbal and written
  • Good awareness of current affairs
  • A can-do attitude and a proactive problem solver
