Auditors! Are you looking for a new opportunity? Wise Employment are currently looking for an Audit Senior to join a large and growing regional accountancy firm here in Plymouth! This is a fantastic opportunity offering a salary of £27,000 - £40,000, and a large variety of benefits. This role is working Monday – Friday 36.25 hours a week with the potential chance of their being hybrid and flexible working.

The day to day responsibilities for this role is varied, but some of the typical tasks include:

  • Planning, managing, controlling, as well as conducting the audit fieldwork for a portfolio of the firm’s clients.
  • Preparing financial statements.
  • Responsible for training and development of the junior members of staff
  • Building new as well as developing current client relationships
  • Dealing with technical matters, logically so they are resolved quickly
  • Carrying out research and providing clients and junior colleagues with advice
  • Assisting the Audit Partners in developing the department, together with proposals for new work.
  • Business development, trying to win new business within the office and region of your location.
  • Working on clients across the region, as and when required.

To be successful for this role you will need:

  • To be Outgoing and socially confident.
  • Resilient, able to multi-task, and work independently.
  • To have good skills at being a team player.
  • ACA or ACCA part qualified or qualified with a good level of experience of working within an audit and assurance team.
  • A good level of knowledge of UK Financial Reporting Standards and International Auditing Standards.
  • To develop and operate complex spreadsheets
  • Experience of Caseware audit software would be an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of Sage Accounts software would be an advantage.
