Job Title: Financial Accountant

About the Role:

TQR Plymouth is pleased to present an opportunity for a talented Financial Accountant to join a high-growth luxury lifestyle business, whose strong order book for 2025 and beyond means this is a great time to get on board with a leading local employer. This high-profile role is pivotal within the finance function; you’ll play a key role in driving financial compliance and improved reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare weekly short-term cash flow forecasts, analysing disbursements and receipts, and providing accurate cash flow presentations for stakeholders.
Prepare monthly consolidated group management accounts with variance analysis and commentary.
Prepare annual financial statements, including supporting files and responding to auditor queries.
Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and controls, driving continuous improvement.
Support the preparation of annual tax returns and compliance, including RDEC returns.
Manage information required for HMRC and national statistic reporting.
Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and manage tasks to support efficient close periods and timely reporting of management accounts.
Lead finance team members to ensure systems and processes for reporting are in place, utilizing and developing PowerBI solutions.
Develop and mentor finance team members to share knowledge and avoid single point dependency.

About You:

The ideal candidate will have:

Newly or part-qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) and a member of the equivalent professional body.
Financial experience in the manufacturing sector is desirable but not essential.
Proactive, self-motivated, and able to lead change positively.
Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate financial information to senior managers.
Confident, enthusiastic, and resilient.
Efficient approach to tasks and delivering on time.
High standard of IT skills, including Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Power BI.
High level of commercial acumen.
Composure under pressure and experience performing in challenging circumstances.
