This role is essential to maintain this charities financial health and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements during a transitional period.Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all financial operations and manage the finance team
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and trustees
  • Ensure compliance with charity financial regulations and standards
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
  • Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making
  • Liaise with external auditors and manage the audit process
  • Implement and maintain robust financial controls and procedures

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role within a charity organisation
  • Strong knowledge of charity accounting principles and regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid working environment
