Interim Financial ControllerLocation: Plymouth, UK Organisation: Reputable Charity Position: Interim Financial Controller Start Date: March 2025 Employment Type: Temporary, Hybrid Working Available Rate: £300 - £450 per day Duration: Up to 12 monthsAbout the Role:Hays are seeking an experienced and qualified Interim Financial Controller to join our dedicated clients team at a well-respected charity organisation in the Plymouth area of Devon. This role is essential to maintain this charities financial health and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements during a transitional period.Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial operations and manage the finance team
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and trustees
- Ensure compliance with charity financial regulations and standards
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making
- Liaise with external auditors and manage the audit process
- Implement and maintain robust financial controls and procedures
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role within a charity organisation
- Strong knowledge of charity accounting principles and regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid working environment
