They are currently seeking a dynamic Management Accountant to join their Finance team at the Head Office in Plymouth.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Prepare month-end P&L, Balance Sheet, and reporting pack, explaining variances against budget.
  • Partner with key teams throughout the business to provide financial insights that influence strategic decisions.
  • Review and challenge monthly accruals across the business.
  • Take ownership of and challenge the outputs of the Overheads team.
  • Oversee sales ledger processes and manual payment procedures.
  • Monitor revenue tracking processes for both online and store operations.
  • Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly regulatory returns (VAT, ONS, Intrastat).
  • Assist with the year-end audit and other ad hoc tasks as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a commercial organisation, particularly in preparing management accounts with commentary.
  • Strong Excel skills, with experience in financial modelling (desirable).
  • Professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA or similar) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
  • Confidence to challenge existing practices and drive improvements.
