The Role

As the Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations across multiple locations within the region. You will provide strategic financial guidance, ensure robust financial control, and support decision-making processes to drive business performance. Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to regional management teams to drive business performance.
Monitor and report on key financial metrics, identifying trends and variances, and proposing corrective actions where necessary.
Lead the annual budgeting process for the region, working closely with operational teams to ensure realistic and achievable targets.
Ensure effective financial controls are in place and adhered to, conducting regular reviews and audits as required.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and projects.
Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Support the succession planning process, preparing to transition into a senior leadership role within the next 18 months.

Qualifications and Experience:

CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
Proven experience in management accounting, preferably within a regional or multi-site environment.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
Proficiency in financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
Experience in team management and development is highly desirable.
