Our client is looking for an experienced Tax Senior to join their team who are dedicated to making business life better. This role is ideal for individuals who are either ATT qualified, studying towards their ATT, or qualified by experience. As a Tax Senior, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in all areas of tax, enhancing your skills and growing into a knowledgeable business advisor.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Prepare tax computations and tax returns for client businesses and individuals as required.
  • Assist the Tax Manager and Director with tax planning work.
  • Supervise junior staff engaged in tax work.
  • Handle telephone calls from clients and HMRC concerning client issues and manage correspondence related to tax work.
  • Chase outstanding tax return information and ensure timely completion and review of tax returns.
  • Suggest tax planning ideas upon reviewing returns.
  • Liaise with managers on company year ends to gather details for directors’ tax returns, aiming to complete returns soon after 5 April.
  • Assist with P11D preparation and completion.
  • Provide help, support, and training to tax assistants and other support staff as required.
  • Assist with Probate tax administration and deal with CGT 60-day reporting.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • ATT qualification, or currently studying towards ATT, or qualified by experience in tax.
  • Strong understanding of income tax and corporation tax computations.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of dealing with clients, HMRC, and internal staff.
  • Proven ability to supervise and train junior staff.
  • Knowledge of tax software and proficient in Microsoft Office.
