Finance Assistant (Purchase Ledger)

Our client, a reputable manufacturing company, is looking for a dynamic Finance Assistant to join their team. This is a permanent, part-time position offering c 25 - 30 hours per week. The role is based in the office.
As the Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the purchase ledger function within the finance team. You will also provide accounting support directly to senior management and the broader Finance team.
The responsibilities:
- Oversee the Purchase Ledger, ensuring accuracy and timeliness through thorough checks and reconciliations.
- Enter supplier invoices and credit notes into the accounting system.
- Process supplier payments in line with terms, conditions, and company policies.
- Effectively manage supplier discounts and address supplier queries.
- Keep the ledger well-organized and up to date.
- Collaborate within the accounts department, adhere to deadlines, and assist with the month-end process.
- Reconcile supplier statements and update daily cash flow in SAGE.
- Support the preparation of financial analysis reports, monthly payroll, and the annual audit process.
The candidate:
- AAT qualified with proven experience in various finance functions.
- Proficient in Sage 200 and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
