Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Services Engineer with specific dockyard experience at Babcock International to join our team.

This role is critical as we move forward in our project, and we require candidates who can hit the ground running without extensive upskilling in Babcock processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and delivery of piping systems specific to the Babcock FP03 standards within the Devonport dockyard.
Engage effectively with various stakeholders across the dockyard to ensure project alignment and compliance.

Utilize Babcock's document management systems, including knowledge of Agility standards and OCE (Office of Chief Engineer) requirements, while being proficient with CDMS Vault (document portal).

Manage the practical delivery of designs on-site, collaborating with Contractors and the Commissioning team to ensure seamless integration and execution.

Design and analyze pumping systems, with expertise in both marine and network systems.

Contribute to the design of Low Pressure Air systems, enhancing the overall project deliverables.

Qualifications and Experience:

Proven experience in mechanical services engineering, specifically within the nuclear sector.

Extensive knowledge of Devonport dockyard piping system design and stakeholder engagement.

Proficiency in Babcock's document management systems, particularly Agility and CDMS Vault.

Strong practical experience managing design delivery on the Devonport site.

Expertise in pumping system design, with both marine and network system experience.

Low Pressure Air systems design experience is preferred.

Additional Requirements:

Ability to travel to the site 2-3 days a month.

Must possess BPSS clearance and be eligible for SC clearance.
