The Energy Division at ARM are currently recruiting an experienced principal engineerto join a world-leading, nuclear defense client based out of Devonport dockyard.

Job Overview:

Our client provides major new or upgraded dock, berth and building infrastructure projects to provide facilities for the ship and submarine sustainment programs.

Some of your duties will include:

  • The technical management of the DSR Updates work package resources and delivery.
  • The checking and review of all technical output from the DSR Updates work package.
  • Identification of the extant DSRs that require updating in support of the safety claims made through the new PSC-220 Phase 4 safety assessment.
  • Plan for effective project implementation, identifying key factors and leading the project's technical planning process.

What do you need to succeed?

The post holder must be able to demonstrate relevant knowledge and skills required in the technical management of complex design development throughout the design lifecycle.

  • Experienced in Engineering design and safety practice as relevant to the post and project. Management experience of project specification, planning project management.
  • Knowledge of Civil/Structural construction techniques employed for Nuclear Safety related facilities.
