 Product Design Engineer!

Wise Employment are looking for a highly skilled Product Design Engineer to join a company based in Plymouth. This amazing opportunity, is a Full Time Permanent position offering a competitive salary along with a variety of benefits as shown below:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with application engineers to turn concept designs into detailed product definitions
  • Managing design projects, communicating with key stakeholders, and supporting departmental knowledge sharing
  • Supporting the validation and verification of designs and related documentation
  • Developing bespoke solutions while considering production methods and processes
  • Contributing to both personal and professional growth with the potential to progress into roles across Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, or R&D

To be successful you will need:

  • A Masters Degree (or equivalent) in a STEM subject such as Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or Physics with a strong academic background
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks is preferred but not essential)
  • Knowledge of mechanical design and rotating equipment (Turning, Milling, Grinding, Precision Metrology)
  • Experience in project management, business processes, and analytical tools (e.g., 6 Sigma, 8D)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
