Our client is currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Officer to join their expanding team on a full-time, permanent basis.
As the Accounts Payable Officer, you will play a crucial part in the team by ensuring the efficient operation of the accounts payable function, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and facilitating timely payments to support business operations and growth.
The responsibilities:
- Take full ownership and control over the Accounts Payable function.
- Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable invoices.
- Verify General Ledger coding, confirm receipt of goods, and validate delivery of services.
- Manage supplier statement reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
- Handle employee expense claims and company credit card transactions, including chasing missing receipts.
- Maintain accurate supplier and customer information, including setting up new entities.
- Prepare and execute payment runs while monitoring usage and reconciliation.
- Perform month-end tasks for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including journal entries and resolving outstanding ledger queries.
The candidate:
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., AAT) with relevant experience in accounts payable.
- Strong expertise in financial processes, including prepayments, accruals, and month-end accounting.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to collaborate across operational teams.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
