Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join their team over an exceptionally busy period. This full-time, temporary position offers an immediate start opportunity for a detail-oriented professional ready to thrive in a high-volume financial environment.

As the Accounts Payable Officer, you will be instrumental in managing a high-volume accounts payable function, ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining precise financial records, and facilitating timely payments to support the organisation's finance operation.

The responsibilities:

  • Process and manage a large volume of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable invoices
  • Verify General Ledger coding, confirm goods receipt, and validate service delivery
  • Conduct supplier statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies efficiently
  • Maintain accurate supplier and customer information, including new entity setup
  • Execute payment runs while monitoring usage and performing reconciliations
  • Complete month-end tasks for AP/AR, including journal entries and resolving outstanding queries

The candidate:

  • Proven experience in high-volume accounts payable function.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., AAT) is desirable, but not essential.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to collaborate effectively across operational teams.
  • Available for an immediate start.
