Butler Rose is excited to be recruiting for a Finance Administrator on behalf of our client, a well established organisation within the public sector. This is a pivotal role within their finance team, designed to address a backlog of Accounts Payable invoices. If you are organised, detail-oriented, and ready to make an impact in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.

About the Role

As a Finance Administrator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient processing of outstanding invoices. Your primary focus will be to clear the backlog and support the Accounts Payable function to get operations back on track. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a collaborative team while demonstrating your technical skills and proactive approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and process high volumes of Accounts Payable invoices accurately and promptly.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Communicate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to address queries.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Support the wider finance team with ad-hoc tasks as required.

About You

Our ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment and possess a strong background in Accounts Payable or similar roles.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in an Accounts Payable or Finance Administrator role.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage high volumes of work with efficiency.
  • Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience working within a fast-paced or high-volume finance environment.
  • Knowledge of month-end processes and reporting is an advantage but not essential.
