Techniche Global are supporting an engineering defence contractor to appoint a Lead Substantiation Engineer The role is mainly remote with trips to Plymouth once every couple of months. The team currently meeting every 6 weeks for 2 or 3 days.  The role is paying between £70-90/hour dependant on experience. and is part of the Project Delivery team managing NEC professional services contracts for design on 14D dock civils work at Devonport.  In this role you will be part of the team delivering updates to existing design substantiation dating back many years, as well as drawing together substantiation for the new infrastructure.  You will develop, lead and manage design substantiation packages, agree objectives, manage performance and make appropriate technical management responses. Provide Subject Matter Expert advice on civil/structural engineering matters.  This role is one of many roles that exist as part of a recruitment drive at Devonport. Further roles are available on request across Mechanical and Electrical Building Services and Structural/Civils so please advise if you would like further information on other relevant opportunities.  The roles are required as part of a multi-year project commitment from Babcock at Devonport Dockyard (PL2 2BG)  Initial contract length will be offered on a 6-12 months contract basis with excellent potential for further extension.  Due to the nature of the site environment and  projects we can currently only consider sole UK Nationals for this assignment
