Site Services Engineer

Monday to Friday - 8am till 5pm (working 1 weekend in 4)

Commutable from Plymouth, Okehampton, Launceston, Bodmin, Davidstow

 

I'm working with a major client who are seeking a dedicated Site Services Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will ensure the maintenance and safety of our site buildings, adhering to health and safety regulations for all colleagues and contractors. Your responsibilities will include managing and controlling cooling towers, boilers, utilities distribution systems, and maintaining lighting, emergency lighting, and fire safety equipment. Additionally, you will monitor plant rooms, conduct equipment checks, and perform meter readings to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prioritizing and executing tasks using the Mainsaver system.
  • Collaborating with team leaders and key stakeholders to resolve safety or operational issues.
  • Preparing, monitoring, and controlling budgets, providing costings for new or alternative site works.
  • Attending to equipment breakdowns and ensuring permanent fixes are made to standard.

The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for a mechanically trained engineer with relevant qualifications and a passion for teamwork. The ideal candidate will have experience with boiler maintenance, steam distribution management, compressed air systems, and fire alarm systems, particularly within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering systems is also essential.
