Yard PersonWe are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading plant equipment hire company, providing top-quality machinery and tools for construction, landscaping, and industrial projects.We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Yard Person to join their team, for a long-term ongoing role. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the yard, ensuring equipment is clean, organized, and ready for hire. This is a full time role working Monday to Friday 0800 – 1700.Key Responsibilities:• Inspect and clean equipment upon return.• Organize and maintain the yard to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.• Assist with loading and unloading equipment for customers.• Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.• Conduct inventory checks and report any discrepancies.• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.Requirements:• Previous experience in a similar role or in the construction/plant hire industry is preferred.• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.• Ability to operate and maintain various types of plant equipment.• Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy objects.• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.• Valid driver’s license.• Forklift license This vacancy is being handled by Rachel Rawlings, Driving and Industrial Specialist Consultant at Pertemps Plymouth.
