CNC Machining Setter / Operator

My client is seeking a skilled CNC Machining Setter / Operator to join their dynamic manufacturing team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in CNC machine setting, basic programming, and a passion for precision engineering. You will be instrumental in producing high-quality components for critical industries such as Aerospace, Defence, Oil & Gas, and Medical.

Day-to-day of the role:•    Set up and operate CNC machines (3, 4 & 5 axis) ensuring all components meet the exact specifications.•    Good knowledge of  Heidenhain and Fanuc controls to execute precise machining tasks.•    Produce small to medium batches of precision components, adhering to strict industry standards.•    Collaborate with the team to enhance efficiency in tooling, fixturing, and machining various materials.•    Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with company and industry regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:•    Proven experience in setting and basic programming of CNC machines.•    Familiarity with Heidenhain and Fanuc controls; additional training will be provided.•    Experience in a subcontract environment, particularly in precision engineering for critical sectors.•    Knowledgeable in producing precision components and in the use of various machining materials.•    Ability to work effectively in a team and independently with minimal supervision.

Working Hours:•    Day Shift: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM; Friday, 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM.•    Late Shift: Monday to Thursday, 3:30 PM to 1:30 AM (25% shift premium).
