As Press Brake Setter/Operator at Aldermans, your responsibilities will include:
- Accurately setting up and operating press brake machinery to produce parts from metal, ensuring specifications are met.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to make necessary program adjustments for quality production.
- Inspecting and measuring finished products using tools like callipers, micrometres, and gauges to ensure they meet tolerances and quality standards.
- Performing basic maintenance on press brake machines, ensuring they remain in excellent working condition.
- Identifying and resolving issues during the setup of tools and the production process to minimise downtime.
- Ensuring data capture is accurate and paperwork is completed.
- Adhering to company health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Proven experience in Press Brake Setting and Operating.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Knowledge of various metals and their properties.
- Familiarity with measurement tools and techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Team player with excellent communication skills.
