Would you like to join an international defence company to support their clients by improving the capability, reliability and availability of their most critical assets? Due to continued investment, this global business is currently looking for a Principal Electrical Services Engineer to join their existing team in Devonport (hybrid working, onsite fortnightly for a couple of days) on an initial 29 week contract.
The Role
As a Principal Electrical Services Engineer, you will be part of the Major Infrastructure Projects Business Unit. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- To assist the Discipline Lead in delivery of the Electrical engineering work packages to the required scope, quality, schedule and cost.
- Managing a small team and managing the designs of others and reviewing the designs that are produced by the design team
- Within SQEP profile, preparing and/or checking designs, analyses, reports, drawings, specifications and other documents in support of Nuclear and Non-Nuclear related plant, facility and equipment within the company's licensed, authorised and operational sites, or in support of external contracts.
In addition, you will also support development, construction, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of Facilities to ensure that they comply with the design intent and DNSP's for Nuclear related Works, together with all relevant Local and National Regulations and Legislation.
You
To succeed within the role of a Principal Electrical Services Engineer, you'll have experience in a similar position and have the following skills:
- Degree or HND in an appropriate engineering discipline.
- Chartered Engineer, registered with Engineering Council or working towards chartership
- Minimum 10 years industry experience ideally in Nuclear or Defence
- Experience in design of electrical building services, to include fire detection and alarm systems, industrial lighting and emergency lighting, site broadcast (PA) and HVAC
Please note that due to security nature of this role, candidate must be British nationals and have lived in the UK in the last 5 years and be eligible for SC security clearance.
