Our Client has a requirement for a Lead CS&A Engineer, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Devonport.

The purpose of the DSR Updates Engineering Lead post is:

 

About the Role

 

We are seeking a Lead CS&A Engineer to technically manage a team delivering updates to Design Safety Reports (DSRs) in support of the PSC-220 Phase 4 safety assessment. You’ll lead the team through expert guidance, technical oversight, and seamless project delivery within the Strategic Infrastructure Business Unit.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  1. Team Leadership: Oversee and manage the technical output and quality of the DSR Updates team.
  2. Safety Report Updates: Identify, author, and review updates to extant DSRs supporting safety claims for Dock 14.
  3. Methodology Development: Develop processes and methodologies for updating reports.
  4. Project Integration: Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to align engineering outputs with safety, operational, and project requirements.
  5. Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with our Business Management System and Technical Manual.
  6. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with Safety Engineers, Operations Managers, and Project Managers to meet scope, schedule, and budgetary goals.
  7. Subject Matter Expertise: Provide guidance and advice related to CS&A engineering.

 

Accountabilities

 

  • Technical quality of assigned packages (reporting to Operations and Integration Manager).
  • Scope, schedule, and cost delivery (reporting to Project Manager - Safety).
  • Effective technical planning and project implementation.
  • Delivering documentation aligned with standards, schedules, and budgets.

 

Interfacing Responsibilities

 

Collaborate with:

 

  • Principal Engineers: Ensure interdisciplinary alignment of deliverables.
  • Safety Engineers: Enable compliance with Safety Functional Requirements.
  • Project Managers: Ensure deliverables meet scope, schedule, and budget.
  • User Acceptance Group & Design Authority: Validate system functionality and technical governance.
