Sonic Summary

Morson Talent is recruiting a reactor cleaner for an on-site position at Devonport Dockyard in Plymouth, requiring a safety-critical role with shift work and overtime.
The role involves using various cleaning chemicals, cleaning and decontaminating primary plant, and performing fire sentry duties, among other responsibilities.
Applicants must have or be willing to undertake specific training and qualifications, including HS0003 Hot Work Operators and NUC1100 Active Jet Vac.
Candidates should have previous marine environment experience, knowledge of submarines and warships, and a willingness to undergo further training.
The position offers a 12-month initial contract with a standard salary of £35,000 per year, and candidates must have at least 1 year of relevant experience.

Morson Talent are currently recruiting for a reactor cleaner to work on-site in Devonport Dockyard in Plymouth.

The successful candidate will be working in a safety critical role and will be required to perform accordingly and would need to be prepared to work shift work and overtime to support the business needs.

Main purposed of role:
• Work with various cleaning chemicals IAW COSHH.
• Clean and decontaminate Primary Plant.
• Carry out fire sentry duties.
• Whole boat cleaning duties.
• Operate active hoover
• Operate active jet vac IAW NUC1100 training.
• Understand and adhere to confined space entry processes.

Qualifications & Requirements

Successful applicants must have or be prepared to undertake the following:
• HS0003 Hot Work Operators / Sentries
• HS0384 Practical Fire Training
• NUC1119 Entry to Radiological Area
• NUC1100 Active Jet Vac
• Desirable to hold a UK drivers' licence and be prepared to undertake MEWP training.

Applications are welcome from candidates with the following:

• Previous experience working in a marine environment.
• Knowledge of submarines and warships layouts
• Willingness to undertake development training as identified in a competency framework.
• Ability to read and understand Functional Procedures

Work Arrangements

35 standard hours a week, 07:30 - 15:30 Monday to Thursday, 07:30 - 12:30 on a Friday, shift and overtime a possibility but not guaranteed.

The successful candidate will need to obtain full SC security clearance in order to fulfil this role.
