Attention all Mechanical Design Engineers!
Blueprint Recruitment have a fantastic new opportunity for a seasoned Mechanical Design Engineer to work alongside a leading client of ours on a long-term contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a predominately remote basis, attending the Plymouth site two days per month. The ideal candidate will have an extensive understanding mechanical engineering principles for the design, operation and maintenance of Steam & Condensate, Industrial Gases, Fresh Water, Demineralised Water, HVAC and Domestic Water services.
As the successful candidate, you will be joining a leading defence company that operates in a variety of international markets. They provide unrivalled engineering support to naval, land, air and nuclear operations, frontline support, specialist training and asset management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce concise Mechanical design deliverables across all design stages
- Report to the Design Manager
- Produce design deliverables for water, and water treatment plants
- Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and all other relevant H&S legislation
- Assist in all aspects of mechanical design from site surveys, feasibility studies, detailed design and tender pricing
- Monitoring of design delivery performance and efficiency
- Conduct regular meetings with project delivery teams
- Liaise with Mechanical, Electrical and Civil & Structural Designers
Key Requirements:
- Previous Building Services experience
- HVAC (ideally in Nuclear applications)
- A chartered Engineer status is beneficial
- Security cleared or able to obtain
- Strong team leader & decision maker with proven experience
- Good working knowledge of MS packages
- Strong communication skills
- Full driving licence
