Principal/Associate Electrical Engineer Plymouth £55 - 75k (doe)A leading and highly reputable Building Services client located in Plymouth is looking for a Principal/Associate Electrical Engineer to join their office. The company is an independent Building Services Consultancy providing national coverage specialising in all aspects of Mechanical, Electrical, Public Health and Sustainable Design services. They are looking for someone to join and lead their Electrical Team and due to their project pipeline expand their Electrical Team in Plymouth. As an associate you will manage a team of engineers and assist the Director in the day to day delivery of the projects. You will be responsible for:-  
  • Manage a portfolio of projects from inception to completion while managing the team workload and the quality of delivery.
  • Maintain key client relationships, maximising opportunities for repeat business
  • Manage of team of engineers and technicians on a day to day basis including appraisals and staff training and development.
  • Support the Director in local marketing events.
  • Assist in preparing Financial and Technical submissions/proposals including attending interviews
  • Undertake high-level project technical/quality reviews of specifications, reports and drawings produced by the team.
  • Ensure latest professional standards are implemented.
  • Assist in forecasting workload and planning resources to meet these needs.
  • Ensure Company policies and procedures are implemented with the service with particular regard to Finance, HR, H&S and IT.
  • Assist in the maintenance of PRDB to ensure effective project/cost monitoring.
  • Take responsibility for monitoring fee expenditure versus design progress
