We have an exciting opportunity to work in our clients Plymouth office, which is conveniently located, with readily available access to public transport. The client is a multi-award winning Building Services Consultancy specialising in all aspects of Mechanical, Public Health and Sustainable Design Services. The client provides national coverage across all aspects of Mechanical, Public Health and Sustainable Design Services.The Senior Engineer role is key to the engineering team and is expected to take the lead in the provision and successful delivery of a range of engineering services to our clients in a variety of sectors.Working across different sectors within Building Services Design. These include: Commercial, Industrial, Education, Sports & Leisure, Healthcare, Residential, Government, Custodial & DefenceKey Responsibilities:
  • Lead the mechanical / electrical design on several small projects (up to £10M) or lead the mechanical / electrical design on one medium sized project (up to £50M) or support the mechanical / electrical design on one large project (£50M +)
    • Take responsibility for feasibility and viability assessments.
    • Prepare conceptual and detailed design to client specifications.
    • Contribute to project implementation and estimation resource specifications.
    •  Be responsible for managing your resources within the agreed internal project costs.
    • Prepare written reports for internal and external purposes including clients.
    • Design drawings in AutoCAD format as required.
    •  Formulate calculations (this includes any modelling as necessary).
    • Mentor, check and approve the work of junior staff.
    • Have achieved Chartered Status (or nearing completion of) with a relevant body.
