We have an exciting opportunity to work as part of a busy IT Service Management team, where you will be leading and implementing IT projects both locally and remotely across multiple sites. Job Title: IT Project Technician

Salary: 40-45k per annum DOE

Location: Plymouth

Type: Permanent

Hours: 7:30am - 4:30pm Monday to Thursday, 7:30am - 12:30pm Friday

(occasional out of hours will be required)

The Role:

Our large manufacturing client is seeking an experienced IT Project Technician with proven experience with Windows Server and MS Office along with a practical knowledge of Microsoft 365 admin centre and Azure Active Directory. The ideal candidate will have worked in a busy, fast-paced environment and be used to managing varied workloads and prioritising accordingly.

Key Duties:

  • Lead and implement I.T projects whilst working closely with the business and other team members.
  • Take end-to-end ownership of Service Records, making sure all relevant stakeholders are adequately informed of actions undertaken.
  • Ensure the Service Knowledge Management System is always kept up to date.
  • Manage complex and high priority Service Records to both internal and external teams in line with agreed processes.
  • Provide a customer-centric interface for all users of IT systems and external parties where applicable.
  • Keep abreast of any new technologies that may be implemented by the business to maintain expert knowledge to uphold ability to provide support.
  • Manage and administer cloud services.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Head of IT and other senior members of staff within I.T as required.

About You:

  • Previous experience of working in a busy I.T department.
  • Previous experience working in a customer facing role.
  • Support knowledge of Windows Server and desktop operating systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 admin centre and Azure Active Directory.
  • Knowledge of how to troubleshoot network issues.
  • Demonstrable analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent written and verbal communicative skills.
  • Full clean driving license.

Desirable Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft System Centre.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Internet Information Services.
  • Degree level qualification or above.
  • ITIL exposure and awareness.
