iO Associates are excited to be working with a leading global manufacturer to recruit a Shift Engineering Technician. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled technician to play a key role in supporting on-site manufacturing operations, ensuring maximum efficiency and minimal downtime.



About the Role:


As a Shift Engineering Technician, your main focus will be to provide on-shift engineering expertise, troubleshooting equipment faults, and supporting production. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering technical support to resolve complex machine-related issues.
  • Acting as a process expert for key equipment, sharing knowledge and mentoring team members.
  • Diagnosing and resolving faults using PCs, HMI screens, and MES tools.
  • Leading small process improvement projects, coordinating with departments like Quality and Toolroom.
  • Supporting continuous improvement programs to enhance productivity, quality, and safety.


What We're Looking For:

  • A Level 3 qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in high-volume manufacturing or assembly environments.
  • Proficiency in IT systems, including SAP, for maintenance logging and fault diagnosis.
  • Expertise in hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, and servo systems.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to mentor and support team members effectively.
