Excellent opportunity for an Energy Engineer to join an industry leading manufacturer in a varied and challenging role with plenty of training and technical progression available.

Based on the outskirts of Plymouth this company are one of the largest manufacturing companies in the area. They specialise in the design and manufacture of specialist equipment that are supplied into a number of industries across the world.

As an Energy Engineer, you will have passion and ambition for carbon reduction and to represent the business at a global level.

The role will be pivotal in ensuring my client meets its energy reduction targets collaborating with external advisors to continue and improve the net zero strategy.

The ideal candidate will be an Energy and have prior experience in undertaking regular energy audits of various types of major energy consuming tools and equipment and assessing their energy efficiency to identify opportunities for carbon reduction.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Energy Engineer to build a long-term career with an innovative manufacturing company in an autonomous role where you will play a key part in growth and success of the business.

The Role:

  • Working within the Facilities Department whilst collaborating directly with Facilities Engineers, CAD Engineer and Projects Manager & stakeholders throughout the business
  • Analysis of large energy data sets from metering, sub-metering, and utility bills.
  • Analysis of utilities such as boilers, chillers, CDA, compressors, and other large-scale energy consuming equipment.


The Person:

  • Energy Engineer
  • Experience of delivering sustainability initiatives into businesses.
  • A degree or equivalent in engineering or physical sciences.
