Senior Nuclear Safety Engineer
Remote | Active SC Required | £600 to £700 per day (Inside IR35) | Initial 12 month contract
The Opportunity:
We are seeking three experienced Senior Nuclear Safety Engineers to join our client who offer world-leading engineering consultancy services to an array of sectors. This remote role involves supporting our client with nuclear safety management and compliance with Site Licence Conditions, contributing to safety assurance throughout the design, construction, operation, and decommissioning phases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce safety assurance deliverables across all project stages.
- Ensure compliance with nuclear safety legislation, regulation, and policy.
- Develop and manage safety cases, including SJP, PCSR, PCmSR, and PRS.
- Support modification and design change submissions (LC/AC 22).
- Conduct functional safety assessments and ALARP assessments.
- Perform safety and risk assessments, including deterministic and probabilistic methods.
- Interface with regulatory bodies and contribute to Generic Design Assessment (GDA) processes.
- Participate in HAZOP, HAZAN, and criticality studies.
- Provide engineering substantiation and system safety assessments.
- Apply expertise in Availability, Reliability, and Maintainability (ARM) analysis.
Essential Criteria:
- Proven experience in nuclear safety engineering.
- Strong understanding of safety case development and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with safety assessments and safety legislation.
- Ability to work independently and manage deliverables to a high standard.
- Hold Active SC Clearance
