Acorn by Synergie is seeking a passionate and dedicated Environmental Officer to join their client's team in Plymouth!

As an Environmental Officer, you will have the opportunity to work with engineers and other team members to drive environment and sustainability improvements in their organisation.

At the company, they are committed to achieving net zero goals and promoting a culture of environmental sustainability. As an Environmental Officer, you will play a crucial role in helping achieve these goals by implementing strategies to improve environmental performance.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct environmental audits and identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and implement sustainable solutions
- Work with external contractors to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards
- Develop and maintain ISO14001 management systems
- Promote health and safety practices in accordance with environmental regulations
- Develop training programs to improve environmental sustainability culture within the organisation

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or relevant field
- Experience in a similar role
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and standards
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
