Accounting Manager

A valued client is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team in Plymouth.  As an Accounting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and leading a dedicated team to support the seamless operations.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Manage General Ledgers and ensure tax compliance for UK and Ireland entities.
  • Oversee the Accounting Team to maintain accurate financial records and reporting, utilising your leadership skills to enhance team performance.
  • Collaborate with Group finance teams in the UK and further afield to align with Group financial standards.
  • Drive improvements in financial processes to support the organisation’s growth and operational success.
  • Engage in strategic planning and budget management to contribute to the company’s financial health.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven experience in overseeing General Ledgers and ensuring tax compliance, preferably within the UK and Ireland.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with excellent skills in managing, developing, and inspiring a team.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments and with international teams.
  • Relevant financial qualifications and a solid understanding of financial regulations.
