A leading Top 50+50 Accountancy Practice are expanding their audit team to manage audit engagements, develop client relationships and contribute to the growth of their firm.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan, manage, control, and conduct audit fieldwork for a portfolio of clients under the direction of the Audit Partners.
  • Monitor performance of audit delivery against agreed KPIs and report on this, including providing potential solutions to issues.
  • Manage the preparation of financial statements for non-audit clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Manage and develop junior members of the team, providing leadership, coaching, and supervision.
  • Carry out technical research and provide advice to clients and other team members.
  • Assist in the development of the audit department, including proposals for new work and performance improvement.
  • Network within the business communities where our offices and clients are based.
  • Travel to other offices and client sites as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • ACA or ACCA part qualified or qualified.
  • Significant experience within an audit and assurance team.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and supervise junior staff.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to multi-task and work independently.
  • Good knowledge of UK Financial Reporting Standards and International Auditing Standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Caseware audit software and Sage Accounts software is advantageous.
