Finance Manager Plymouth, Devon£35,000 - £45,000 per annum DOE

Our client, a well-established company within the legal sector, is actively seeking a skilled Finance Manager to join their dedicated team on a full-time, permanent basis.

In the role of Finance Manager, you will lead the financial operations of the company, guarantee adherence to regulatory standards, and ensure that financial records are kept precise and up-to-date.

The responsibilities:

  • Oversee and process all client and internal financial transactions.
  • Perform regular bank statement reconciliations and swiftly address any inconsistencies.
  • Uphold accurate financial records in line with SRA Accounts Rules.
  • Compile and file VAT returns and generate various financial reports as needed.
  • Contribute to monthly and annual financial closing procedures.
  • Work closely with various departments and administrative staff to optimise financial workflows.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding financial matters and provide assistance to the accounting department.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with relevant legal and industry regulations.

The candidate:

  • Demonstrated track record in financial management, preferably within a legal environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of legal accounting principles and SRA Accounts Rules.
  • Expertise in utilising financial software and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exceptional aptitude for numbers and data analysis.
  • Meticulous approach to work with superior organisational capabilities.
  • Self-motivated professional capable of both autonomous and team-oriented work.
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills, with a talent for building strong professional relationships.
