Fram are working with an independent financial planning firm with offices across the UK. Due to a member of the team retiring, our client is looking for a financial advisor to take over a client bank covering the Plymouth area.  The role is employed, and advisors are not required to bring clients with them, but to grow and develop the book for clients they are given. Advisors have dedicated paraplanning and administration teams to support them. This is a great opportunity for an experienced advisor from either an independent or restricted background, who will struggle to move clients from their current firm.  The role is to provide clients with specialist advice on how to manage their money. It will involve researching the marketplace and recommending the most appropriate products and services available, ensuring that clients are aware of products that best meet their needs.  Responsibilities include:
  • Contacting clients and setting up meetings, either within an office environment or in clients' homes or business premises
  • Conducting in-depth reviews of clients' financial circumstances, current provision and future aims
  • Analysing information and preparing plans best suited to individual clients' requirements
  • Completing risk analyses
  • Researching the marketplace and providing clients with information on new and existing products and services
  • Designing financial strategies
  • Assisting clients to make informed decisions
  • Researching information from various sources, including providers of financial products
  • Reviewing and responding to clients' changing needs and financial circumstances
  • Keeping up to date with financial products and legislation.
A successful candidate will be a financial advisor already, hold the minimum level 4 qualification, and working towards chartered status. Advisers may have a background in specialising in certain areas, however they are happy offering advice to clients in all areas of advice.
