Pertemps is recruiting on behalf of our client for an Import Administrator to join their fast-paced and dynamic import team. Handling over 20,000 TEU containers per year, this is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives under pressure, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to develop a career in international trade.Why Apply??   • Registering and performing import checks on new container orders
  • Processing shipping documents and ensuring international payments are accurate
  • Preparing customs entries and releasing import files
  • Expediting shipments, tracking documents, and coordinating container releases
  • Producing and distributing detailed department reports
  • Investigating and resolving shipment issues such as pricing, loading, and discrepancies
  • Handling claims with both UK and international suppliers
  • General administration, data entry, and communication within the import department
What We’re Looking For:? Strong Excel skills – you’ll be working with data, reports, and spreadsheets daily? Excellent attention to detail – accuracy is key in this fast-paced environment? Strong organisation and multitasking skills – ability to handle multiple priorities? A problem-solving mindset – someone who thrives under pressure? IT-confident, with experience using Microsoft 365 and online platforms?
