Experienced AutoCad Technician required for large manufacturing company based on the outskirts of Plymouth. The successful candidate will be looking to extend their knowledge across a wide range of facilities and is to support an installation project, producing a layout design for a new production line using 2D drawing in AutoCAD LT. This is initially a 3 month temporary assignment working until the end of 2024, but could extend depending upon the completion of this project.

Key Responsibilities:

Creating, modifying and updating existing site layout and distribution drawings (using 2D AutoCAD LT).

Conducting accurate site measurements, mark ups and as built checks, at key stages during project lifecycle.

Attend meetings and liaise with project stakeholders and suppliers to obtain essential information for drawings and associated documents.

Preparation of work packages to include facilitisation and single line drawings for engineering services to specialised process equipment.

Compilation of key project deliverable packages, collation of installation, test, commissioning and operational data, together with centralised filing of such project critical documentation.

Compliance with Health, Safety Environmental legislation and applicable SOPs.

Working alongside site engineers to confirm and collate design and technical details.

Ensuring that all drawings produced are in keeping with relevant standards and company drawing control procedure.

Essential Experience and Candidate attributes required:

2D AutoCAD experience.

Working within an engineering, multi project, drawing office environment and able to meet the demand for provision of drawings and other deliverables in an expedient and accurate manner.

Strong IT skills and highly proficient with MS Office packages

Must have a logical approach to problem solving

Ability to work on own initiative, or as a team with strong communication skills

Organised, highly motivated and disciplined with a Can Do, flexible attitude

Experience working on fast moving projects with changing requirements

Demonstrate a high level of commitment and drive to achieving the business goals

Complying with document, revision and drawing control procedures.

Carrying out detailed site measurements to develop and revise site layout drawings.

Working hours for this position are Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:30 with a one hour unpaid lunch break (37.5 hours per week)
