VGC Group are looking for experienced Piling Foreman to start on a project in Plymouth,Devonport  PL1 4SG. 

Role: Piling Foreman 

Location: Plymouth, Devonport  PL1 4SG

Salary: £25.53 Per Hour PAYE, rate after acheived working 39 hours in the week x1.5

Hours: Shift

Contract: Contract of Employment, Long term project- 5 years plus, Lodge or travel allowance available

Experience: 2 years +

Qualifications:  SSSTS & OWS Gold Card CSCS Minimum

Your role as a Piling Foreman  will be based in Plymouth and will consist of:

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all pile installation processes meet the project specifications and quality standards
  • Develop work schedules and plans for piling driving activities to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Coordinate and manage the maintenance and usage of piling equipment and materials involved
  • Monitor and control project expenses related to piling activities
  • Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure piles are installed correctly
  • Have effective communication with Engineers, project management team, and other stakeholders
  • Lead and supervise a team of workers
  • Provide guidance, training and support to the team
  • Identify and resolve challenges or issues that may arise during piling operations
  • Ensure accurate records are documented

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Piling Foreman or in a relevant role
  • Strong understanding of pile driving techniques, equipment, and materials
  • Ability to interpret engineering plans and specifications
  • Be able to lead and motivate a team effectively
  • Maintain high safety standards and promote a culture of safety to the team
  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
  • Coordinate daily tasks according to priorities and plans
  • Resolve conflicts and miscommunications quickly and amicably
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
  • Basic IT skills for email, teams, produce activity plans and enable daily records to be uploaded

Based in Plymouth remuneration for this role is £25.53 per hour, you will accrue holiday entitlement and be eligible to join the VGC pension scheme once certain criteria have been met.
