- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications to determine pipe layout.
- Assemble, install, and maintain pipes, valves, and fittings.
- Cut, thread, and bend pipes using hand and power tools or machines.
- Weld, braze, cement, solder, and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures specific to the nuclear industry.
- Conduct pre-installation safety checks on equipment and materials.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure proper ventilation in work areas.
- Participate in safety drills and emergency response procedures.
- Inspect piping systems and identify issues such as leaks or wear.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on piping systems.
- Test piping systems for leaks and ensure they meet regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with engineers, welders, and other site personnel to plan and execute pipefitting tasks.
- Communicate effectively to ensure clarity and precision in operations.
- Document pipefitting activities and maintain accurate records as per site protocols.
- Ensure that all pipefitting work meets the quality standards and specifications required for nuclear infrastructure.
- Perform pressure tests and inspections to verify the integrity of piping systems.
- Identify and correct defects and discrepancies in piping installations
- Experience as a Pipefitter in an infrastructure environment
- Hold correct industry grade card
- Ability to achieve BPSS
