DK Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Reactor Cleaner to work on-site in Devonport Dockyard in Plymouth for an initial 12-month contract

The successful candidate will be working in a safety critical role and will be required to perform accordingly and would need to be prepared to work shift work and overtime to support the business needs.For this role you will need to:

• Work with various cleaning chemicals IAW COSHH.• Clean and decontaminate Primary Plant.• Carry out fire sentry duties.• Whole boat cleaning duties.• Operate active hoover• Operate active jet vac IAW NUC1100 training.• Understand and adhere to confined space entry processes.Qualifications & RequirementsSuccessful applicants must have or be prepared to undertake the following:• HS0003 Hot Work Operators / Sentries• HS0384 Practical Fire Training• NUC1119 Entry to Radiological Area• NUC1100 Active Jet Vac• Desirable to hold a UK drivers’ licence and be prepared to undertake MEWP training.Experience:• Previous experience working in a marine environment.• Knowledge of submarines and warships layouts• Willingness to undertake development training as identified in a competency framework.• Ability to read and understand Functional ProceduresWorking Hours: 35 standard hours a week, 07:30 - 15:30 Monday to Thursday, 07:30 - 12:30 on a Friday, shift and overtime a possibility but not guaranteed.The successful candidate will need to obtain and hold full SC security clearance in order to fulfil this role.
