Reactor cleaners - Plymouth (12-month Contract) Devonport site - Plymouth
Pay rates - £20.32 per hour Umbrella or £16.44 per hour PAYE
Successful applicants will be required to undertake a wide range of tasks across site and will be prepared to undertake training to ensure they meet the requirements of the role. Successful applicants will have an appetite to learn new skills. Successful candidates would need to be prepared to work shift work and overtime to support the business needs.
Main Purposed of Role:
- A full clean driving licence
- Counterbicence is desirable, however a willingness to train is essential Willingness to work at height and in confined spaces
- MEWP operator or willingness to train
- Successful candidates must have a positive attitude towards conventional Health and Safety and be willing to challenge unsafe acts
- Good communication & interpersonal skills
- Be willing to present themselves clean shaven for a face fit test
- Ability to work in a team
- Willingness to work as a Nuclear Reactor cleaner and to work shift when required (not required for all roles)
- Have a good Health and Safety and COSHH awareness
- Previous experience working in a marine environment would be an advantage
- Willingness to undertake development training as identified in a competency framework Ability to work in a changing environment
- Demonstrates a basic knowledge of COSHH, Manual Handling and Risk Assessment Regulations
- Sound basic knowledge of all health and safety matters relating to their local working environment
- Demonstrates/understands and applies the use of PPE applicable to their local working environment
- Undertakes and maintains husbandry of working areas and protection of equipment/prepared surfaces
- Understanding of basic written/oral instructions and basic IT skills/general admin
The ability to obtain and hold SC Security clearance is a requirement of this role - UK Nationals only need apply
- 35 hours per week
- Monday to Thursday: 07:30 - 15:30 Friday: 07:30 - 12:30
- Potential for shifts and overtime
