DK Recruitment is seeking trained and qualified Slingers looking for a 12 month contract for our client at Devonport Dockyard. This is an exciting opportunity to work on Fleet Time & Upkeep projects within the Warships & Submarine Business units, with potential opportunities to work on other projects as well.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: Minimum of two years of Slinging experience. Experience with Ships and/or Submarines is desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge: Understanding of Babcock’s role as a business is necessary, with a desirable understanding of procedures and processes.
- Safety: Positive attitude towards Health and Safety, with a willingness to challenge unsafe acts.
- Skills: Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in teams.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Recognised slinging qualifications include:
- NVQ2 Moving of Loads
- NPORS402 Slinger Signaller
- CPCS A40 / Blue
- Opito
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to obtain and hold SC Security clearance is a requirement of this role.
- Candidates will be required to complete a medical assessment prior to the offer of employment.
Travel allowance maybe applicable depending on location.
