VGC Group are looking for experienced Ganger to start on a project in Plymouth,Devonport  PL1 4SG. 

Role: Steel Fixing Ganger (Working Supervisor)

Location: Plymouth, Devonport  PL1 4SG

Salary: £24.63 Per Hour PAEYE, rate after acheived working 39 hours in the week x1.5

Hours: Shift

Contract: Contract of Employment, Long term project- 5 years plus, Lodge or travel allowance available

Experience: 3 years +

Qualifications: Blue CSCS NVQ LVL 2 Skilled Card, SSSTS

Your role as a Steel Fixing Ganger will be based in Plymouth and will consist of:

  • Lead and supervise a team of construction workers.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their skills and experience.
  • Ensure that all work is performed to the highest standards of quality.
  • Inspect completed work to verify compliance with project specifications and standards.
  • Address any issues or deficiencies promptly to maintain quality.
  • Monitor the progress of work and ensure tasks are completed on schedule.
  • Conduct regular safety briefings and ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols.
  • Perform risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate hazards.
  • Maintain accurate records of work activities, progress, and any incidents.
  • Complete and submit necessary reports and documentation as required.
  • Ensure that all workers use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Report any incidents, near-misses, or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Based in Plymouth remuneration for this role is £24.63 per hour, you will accrue holiday entitlement and be eligible to join the VGC pension scheme once certain criteria have been met.
